The Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is an introductory course for candidates who have little or no previous English language teaching experience. It may also be suitable for candidates with some experience but little previous training.

داشتن سطح زبان انگلیسی معادل نمره آیلتس 6.5 به بالا
علاقمند به تدریس زبان انگلیسی به بزرگسالان
در صورت نداشتن مدارک زبان انگلیسی معتبر، سطح متقاضی از طریق مصاحبه تعیین می گردد.

سرفصل ها

The course consists of 180 hours which is divided up as follows
Input sessions (44 hours face-to-face with online support)
6 hours of Teaching Practice accompanied by feedback (observed by experienced tutors)
Assisted lesson planning (usually with teaching points to guide you on what and how to teach)
Peer observation of teaching practice, 6 hours
6-hr experienced teacher observations
Learner Profile
Tutorials (including feedback on teaching practice done in a group format and one-to-one basis with your tutor and peers, and assistance and guidance with a specified written assignment)
Eight written assignments on Language theory: The nature of language and its
acquisition, Language teaching principles and methodologies, Language teaching
methodology: Teaching the language skills, teaching materials and aids, Classroom planning and organization: The syllabus, Organizing the class, Lesson planning, Linguistics and language teaching: Phonetics and, phonology, Grammar, morphology and syntax, Vocabulary and meaning, Application of linguistics to language teaching.
We also recommend a further 120 hours of self-study time (background reading, assignment writing, lesson preparation etc.)

The course enables candidates to:
a) develop an awareness of language and a knowledge of the description of English and apply these in their professional practice
b) acquire essential subject knowledge and familiarity with the principles of effective teaching
c) acquire a range of practical skills for teaching English to adult learners
d) demonstrate their ability to apply their learning in a real teaching context
e) develop familiarity with appropriate resources and materials for use with adult learners of English
